Post-Doctoral Fellowship: Photosynthetic acclimation to high temperature in wheat aligned with US00080. Grant uri icon

description

  • High temperature stress constrains Australian wheat yield, resulting in economic losses estimated at over $1 billion per annum. In wheat, heat has a major impact on photosynthesis but the extent by which photosynthesis is inhibited varies from cultivar to cultivar. This investment aims the further develop a novel, high throughput technique for screening the response of photosynthesis to high temperature in large numbers of plants and use the screening method to investigate mechanisms underlining high temperature tolerance in wheat.
