Effector interaction and evolution in wheat pathogen Zymoseptoria tritici Current Project uri icon

description

  • Septoria tritici blotch, caused by the fungus Zymoseptoria tritici, is one of the most devastating wheat diseases worldwide. In this project we will explore the molecular interactions at the fungal-host interface use AI-driven protein complex predictions and biochemical methods. We will then deploy genomic analysis to address the evolution history of the fungal genes. BBSRC priority areas: - Understanding the rules of life - Bioscience for sustainable agriculture and food
